Stone House Resource & Education Center
On the 15 acre campus of the Reno Seventh-day Adventist Church and Silver State Adventist School there stands the shell of an old stone house that was the original farm house for Melvin Beaver and his family, the owners of the property long before the church was built.
That old house is the foundation of our dream -The Stone House Resource & Education Center (SHREC). That old stone house will become a facility that will be a beacon on the hill to serve the public. To do this we will need to go back to the original stones that were placed over a hundred years ago.
We will restore the old building as much as possible but will create within the walls of those old stones a new facility that will house some of the latest technology and will enable the public to see that the old is still valuable while the new must be embraced.
